组别简介：

微软亚洲研究院智能云端系统组（Intelligent Cloud and Edge）致力于研究面向人工智能的云端基础架构中的关键系统问题。小组目前研究领域涵盖新型加速硬件的优化、人工智能和高性能计算和编译框架、大规模新型云端计算负载的支持等。

我们欢迎任何对系统研究感兴趣的同学和我们一起工作，围绕下面的相关研究方向开展研究工作：

  1. 深度学习计算和编译框架
  2. 新型深度学习加速硬件的编程与编译
  3. 低精度算法与系统设计
  4. 大规模深度学习的训练和推理系统
  5. 深度学习分布式框架与算法等

工作职责：

实习生将以多种方式参与到研究项目中来，包括但不限于：

  1. 独立的定义和完成一个新的研究课题
  2. 与研究员和其他实习生合作完成一个研究课题
  3. 设计和实现系统代码
  4. 对已有的系统代码进行理解和改进
  5. 完成研究并总结成科研论文

任职要求：

  1. 教育背景：CS, EE, Mathematics 以及相关背景的在读本科、硕士和博士研究生
  2. 系统知识基础：操作系统、分布式系统、编程语言、存储系统、数据库、硬件等
  3. 编程能力：扎实的C/C++, Python编程能力等
  4. 良好的沟通和团队合作能力
  5. 加分项：熟悉深度学习编译器、深度学习框架、硬件加速器、GPU等异构硬件编程

工作时间要求

能获得导师许可并保证至少三个月的实习。

Position Title: Research Intern for Intelligent Cloud and Edge Group
Job Type: Full-time Intern
Number of Openings: 2-4
Location: Beijing/Shanghai

Group Introduction:
The Intelligent Cloud and Edge team at Microsoft Research Asia is dedicated to investigating critical system issues within AI-oriented cloud infrastructure. The group's current research areas cover optimization for new acceleration hardware, AI and high-performance computing and compilation frameworks, as well as support for large-scale cloud computing workloads.

We welcome students who are interested in systems research to join us and conduct research in the following areas:

  1. Deep learning computation and compilation frameworks
  2. Programming and compilation for novel deep learning accelerators
  3. Low-precision algorithm and system design
  4. Training and inference systems for large-scale deep learning
  5. Distributed frameworks and algorithms for deep learning

Job Responsibilities:

Interns will engage in research projects in various ways, including but not limited to:

  1. Independently defining and completing a new research topic
  2. Collaborating with researchers and other interns to complete a research topic
  3. Designing and implementing system code
  4. Understanding and improving existing system code
  5. Completing research and summarizing it into academic papers

Qualifications:

  1. Educational background: Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students in CS, EE, Mathematics, or related fields
  2. System knowledge: Operating systems, distributed systems, programming languages, storage systems, databases, hardware, etc.
  3. Programming skills: Strong C/C++, Python programming skills, etc.
  4. Good communication and teamwork skills
  5. Bonus points: Familiarity with deep learning compilers, deep learning frameworks, hardware accelerators, and heterogeneous hardware programming such as GPU from your academic advisor.

 

Internship Duration Requirements:
Must obtain permission from your academic advisor and commit to at least three months of internship.
